Our story
“The Socio-Economic Reintegration pillar is at a crucial phase towards capitalizing on impacts and promoting self-financing for the Panzi Foundation to achieve better sustainability of ongoing actions.
To achieve this sustainability, concrete high-impact actions need to be undertaken immediately. These actions will be incorporated into a plan that will clarify the responsibilities of all parties involved, the most effective strategies to be adopted, so that the expected results are achieved beyond expectations.”

Indeed, the Panzi Foundation has already carried out several commendable actions in the field of Socio-Economic Reintegration of vulnerable women. It is therefore opportune to capitalize on these efforts and bring them to a larger scale so that positive and lasting changes can be achieved. Many women who are victims of sexual abuse have already been supported and continue to receive assistance. The structures that will be established by the Socio-Economic Reintegration pillar, including cooperatives, legalized and structured solidarity mutual networks, and a platform called “Wamama Shujaa,” which would bring together all established structures for advocacy and lobbying actions in support of cooperatives and mutual networks, are essential in this endeavor.

The beneficiaries of Panzi Foundation’s actions should no longer return to vulnerability but rather access sustainable socio-economic development by benefiting from a space for sharing experiences, dialogue, and the development of collective income-generating activities (IGAs). It is crucial that the sustainability of their actions resonates positively with other development stakeholders.
Starting from April 2024, a plan to revitalize the activities of the Socio-Economic Reintegration pillar will be operational, with the aim of enabling the Panzi Foundation to achieve self-financing and capitalize on its impacts.
It is within this framework that this specific strategic document is produced to clearly outline how this revitalization is envisaged.
